You are looking for a recommendation on Megasquirt, here you have it, an ECU ready with everything, without having to solder cables or add extra components or modules outside the plate, with a size of 10cm x 10cm. Based on the Microsquirt module, it has been designed with the engine preparation enthusiast in mind, looking for a high-performance product at an economical price. 

Includes in the price:

4 injection outputs for high impedance injectors.
4 digital ignition outputs, option to install internal drivers for high current coil.
260 Kpas internal MAP sensor. 400 Kpas internal MAP option and barometric correction sensor.
Output Turbo pressure control or PWM at the users choice
Idle valve output by PWM or at the users choice.
2 ADC inputs used for linear sensors or at the user choice, Launch control, Cut-Off, Cut-Sifth, etc.

 Characteristics:

  • Connection via RS232.
  • New connectors supporting 13 Amps, including connectors and terminals. Optional wiring.
  • Inputs of position sensors MAX 9926, supports inductive sensors and Hall sensors in the crankshaft and cams
  • Load in Speed Density (MAP sensor), Alpha-n (TPS position), MAF (flow meter) or mixtures between them
  • 2 injection outputs, semi-sequential in 4-cylinder engines. It can be extended to 4 injection outputs (optional), sequential in 4-cylinder engines, semi-sequential in 6 and 8 cylinder engines. Only for high impedance injectors.

The plate is prepared to admit these characteristics without having to make modifications, neither bridges nor welds. If you do not install all the options, some outputs can be used as programmable or if all the options are installed, the unused ones can be used as programmable. Some features may not work together.

No unit is shipped with a finished motor map, they all need an adjustment to the motor in which they are installed, even more when there are modifications. In fact this is what is sought when installing one of our units, adjusting the engine to its modifications or manage systems that with the unit of origin would not be possible. Of course this costs more time, but the results are usually better.

Megasquirt

Megasquirt ECUs started out as educational units, but they still are, over time they have evolved into ECUs that have the same features as other brands, in some cases superior, at a much cheaper price and without any restrictions.

MegaSquirt® ECUs are not approved for emissions regulations, this does not mean that they cannot comply with them, with good adjustment they can do so, especially in highly modified engines, where the original management is very limited. They are designed for racing vehicles that do not operate on public roads, older vehicles that do not have to comply with emissions regulations and training centres where teachers can teach their students how an ECU works from the inside and without anything hidden.
